How to use Speed Calling
Tired of looking up those frequently called numbers that you just can't seem to remember? Speed Calling stores the numbers you call most often, then dials them with just the push of a button or two. These numbers can be either local or long distance.* You may choose Speed Calling 8 or Speed Calling 30, which can hold in memory either 8 or 30 numbers respectively, or a combined capacity of 38 numbers if subscribing to both.
How to program Speed Calling 8 or 30:
To enter a Speed Calling list of either 8 or 30 numbers:
- For each phone number you enter select a one-digit code (numbers 2 through 9) for Speed Calling 8. Select a two-digit code (numbers 20-49) for Speed Calling 30.
- Press *74 for Speed Calling 8.
- Press *75 for Speed Calling 30.
- Listen for three beeps, then dial tone. Enter the code you have selected and immediately enter the complete telephone number, including the 1+ area code for long-distance numbers.* Two beeps will confirm your entry. Then hang up.
- To change a number stored in memory, repeat steps 1, 2, and 3. The old numbers will be automatically replaced in the phone's memory with the new number.
How to use Speed Calling 8 or 30:
Simply press the Speed Calling digits that correspond to the number you want to call. Then press the "#" key. (On a rotary phone wait 4 seconds after dialing.) Your call will be dialed automatically.
