To use Call Waiting with ID:
This feature allows you to see the name and number of the party calling you, giving you the option of answering or not, while you are on your line.
- A special tone alerts you to a waiting call while you are on your line.
- After reviewing your phone's display or your Caller ID unit and you wish to accept the waiting call, press and release the switchhook. The first caller will be put on hold and you will automatically be connected to the second caller.
- Pressing and releasing the switchhook for about one second will let you alternate between parties. Each conversation is absolutely private.
To Cancel Call Waiting with ID:
To prevent Call Waiting tones from interrupting regular conversations, Dial-up Internet sessions, computer modem or facsimile transmissions, you may cancel Call Waiting before each call or transmission. This service is included free with your Call Waiting with ID feature.
Using Cancel Call Waiting before a call:
- Press *70. Listen for two beeps, then dial tone.
- Enter the number you wish to call.
Using Cancel Call Waiting during a call:

- Listen for dial tone, press *70.
- Listen for two beeps. You'll then be returned to your call.
Note: Call Waiting with ID is reinstalled after each completed call. You must follow the same instructions above each time you desire to cancel Call Waiting.
